Christmas Reads

With Christmas round the corner, I thought of getting into the spirit by reading a few books although I don’t celebrate. In fact, November already means Christmas with all the decorations already put up and Christmas songs playing everywhere. Although it’s already time to be in the Christmas mood, I’ll only be starting mine a few days before the actual day with my reading. I’ve selected 3 books to read this Christmas, 2 are Christmas themed and 1 is a […]

Halloween Reads

Halloween is round the corner and although I don’t celebrate, I thought of getting into the spirit by reading a few books. None of these books are spooky or horror because I’m afraid of horror. I’ve never watched horror movies since I’m scared and the same applies to books. Instead, I’m going with a fairytale theme. I didn’t actually thought of the theme beforehand, it’s a coincidence that the books I picked were all fairytales! Another coincidence is all the […]

September & A Yearathon Wrap Up

The theme for September’s A Yearathon is standalone but instead of one week, I went with the standalone theme for the whole month and I named it Standalone September. I have 3 books in my TBR for Standalone September but sadly, I didn’t manage to finish reading any of them. I was reading actively during the first week when the A Yearathon was happening from 4 to 10 September. After the readathon, I went into a little reading slump. I […]

September & A Yearathon TBR

I’ll be participating in the A Yearathon readathon for September with the theme of standalones. Although the readathon is only for a week from 4 to 10 September, I’ll be going with the standalone theme for the whole month, so it’s Standalone September for me. This is my TBR for my Standalone September with 3 books. Out of the 3, I’ve actually been reading 1 of them for many months which is a struggle to get through. Since it’s a […]

Why I Only Read Physical Books

Although ebooks and audiobooks are getting increasingly popular, I still only read physical books. Ebooks and audiobooks don’t appeal to me at all. I have an ebook on my phone but gave up reading it after a few pages. It’s not about the book but the format of the book. I’m still excited about that title of the book and will be getting a physical copy of it to continue reading. At first I thought maybe my phone is too […]

5 Authors I Want To Read

There are a few authors whose books I’ve never read before, expect one but I’ve only read one out of the many books, and I want to get into reading them! Here are 5 authors that I’m excited to start reading their books. 1. Kasie West I’ve seen so much about her books on social media and I want to read her books. I’ve one of her books, The Fill-in Boyfriend which I just bought and featured it in my […]

First Book Haul

I used to borrow most of the books from the library but being a slow reader, I can’t keep up with the due dates and always have to keep reborrowing. Each loan lasts 3 weeks and can only be renewed once which makes it a total of 6 weeks but even with 6 weeks, I couldn’t finish reading. Sometimes, it’s difficult to find another book of the same title to continue reading. Buying wasn’t an option and I seldom buy […]

30 Day Reading Challenge & A Yearathon Wrap Up

This is an extremely late post about the 30 Day Reading Challenge and the A Yearathon with the theme of Reread that I did in May. I had 5 books in my TBR but I only managed to finish reading 2. In fact, I was already halfway into 1 of the 2 books before I started the challenge so it’s 1 and a half! I started the 30 Day Reading Challenge on 2 May while participating in the A Yearathon […]

30 Day Reading Challenge & A Yearathon TBR

Now that I’m no longer working on weekdays, this means I have more time to spare for reading. With more time to read, I decide this month I’m going to do the 30 Day Reading Challenge. I got to know of this challenge from Little Book Owl and since I’ve been on a reading slump recently although I have time to read, I thought this challenge could help to get me back into reading. This is a my TBR for […]

All The Short Ones Readathon & Borrowathon Wrap Up

I originally thought that with a month long readathon, I can read more but I was wrong. I failed badly in these readathons considering the fact that the books had less than 300 pages which was the requirement for the All The Short Ones readathon. These are the 3 books I planned to read for the 2 readathons. I actually aimed to finish reading For One More Day by mid March, just in time to start Autumn’s Kiss for Borrowathon […]
