Coffee & Tea Favourites 2018

In 2015, I wrote a post about my coffee and tea addiction and my favourite variations of them. Now 3 years later, I’m still a coffee and tea addict but my favourites have changed. I did look back at the post from 2015 and realised there’s quite a huge change in my favourites now.

Starting off with the coffee machine which I’m still using after 3 years and my favourite is still the tea latte which is my ultimate favourite out of all the coffee and tea. This is one of my two favourites that didn’t change.

It’s such as coincidence that the capsules are in my favourite colour, pink.

In addition to that, I have another favourite from the coffee machine now. It’s the Cafe Au Lait which I drink almost every morning as my daily dose of coffee.

Cafe Au Lait only requires 1 capsule which means the cost per cup is cheaper than tea latte because the quantity of capsules for both tea latte and Cafe Au Lait are the same.

As much as I like the Cafe Au Lait, I can’t drink it every morning because of it’s price. Although it’s one of the cheaper machine beverages, I still can’t afford to have it daily. So occasionally, I’ll drink packet coffee. I did have a packet coffee favourite 3 years ago but now that have changed and I have a new favourite. It’s the Essenso 2 in 1 coffee.

My cafe afternoon pastime still exists, although I’ve been doing it less and less often over the last 3 years. My favourite cafe is still The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf which is the other favourite that didn’t change and 3 years later, I’m still not earning enough to be able to drink it often.

I used to opt for cheaper alternatives by going to a traditional cafe. It’s not that I don’t like traditional coffee and tea now. I still drink them occasionally but I don’t consider them my favourite and I actually haven’t been to a traditional cafe for quite some time.

I definitely need my morning coffee and sometimes I’ll have a second cup later in the day, even if I don’t go to cafes for cafe afternoon. For my second up at home, I’ll usually have tea. The teas I drink are either tea latte from the coffee machine or chamomile tea, earl gray tea and green tea which are new favourites that I got into this year.

3 years ago, I was more of a coffee person and I drank more coffee than tea. Now 3 years later, I’m at a balance between both.

So these are my current coffee and tea favourites. Probably it will change again after 3 years or maybe even in a year because as humans, we are always changing. I’m always changing, not only with favourites but also in many other aspects of life.

Despite the many changes in life, there are certain things that will stay constant for long. I can’t say it won’t change but it doesn’t as quickly as many others.

So my coffee and tea favourites have changed and throughout the past 3 years, it has slowly changed and evolved into my favourites now but one thing that I predict will stay in me for quite a long time is my coffee and tea addiction.

  1. I’ve always wondered about those pod based coffee machines, but thought they might change the pods often. Do you find that? (Also that frappe looks really good. Where abouts is The Coffee Bean?)

    1. I’ve only ever used this coffee machine and it doesn’t change pods at all. I’m not sure about other coffee machines though, whether they do change pods. The Coffee Bean is in Singapore where I live. I know there are some other countries with Coffee Bean but I’m not sure where else has it.

      1. Hmm…I might look into getting one again when I start working. Ohhhh, for some reason I thought you were UK based. Probably all the Twinning’s tea! Doesn’t look like we have them here 😔
