My Top 5 Favourite Games

I’ve always love gaming since I was very little and it’s been such a huge part of my life. Now that I’m an adult in my twenties, it means I’ve been gaming for more than a decade. Throughout this decade, I’ve played so many different games and I want to share my Top 5 Favourite Games.

1. The Sims 4

My number 1 favourite game definitely has to be The Sims 4. I did play the very first original The Sims when I was little and also 2 years ago just before I bought The Sims 4. Subsequently, I bought The Sims 3 but out of all the 4 Sims games, I feel Sims 4 is the best. Although I’ve only been playing Sims 4 for 2 years, it has gotten me hooked since I first played. Despite occasionally taking breaks from playing and complaining about being uninterested, I do think of the game on a daily basis. If I were to complain about it, that means I’m thinking of it and shortly after thinking about being uninterested in the game, I’ll suddenly become very hype up and return.

2. The Sims Freeplay

It’s another Sims game but The Sims Freeplay is different from The Sims 4 and it’s predecessors. The Sims Freeplay follows real life timing and there are levels and quests involved. As the level becomes higher, there are more quests and more contents unlocked. I’ve been playing this game for a few years and I recently went back into this game after a long time. I started a new game and it’s my third game. I’m not sure where my very first game is now because of the switching of devices throughout the years but I think it’s gone. As for my second game, I believe it’s in a device that’s now spoiled so it’s considered gone.

Although I have to start a new game, it’s not a bad thing because there have been so many new contents added into the game even for low levels, so starting a new game will allow me to experience all the new content for low levels that I didn’t get to play in the previous 2 games.

3. Coin Master

Although I’ve only played Coin Master for a few months, I’ve been hooked until I play multiple accounts. I did take breaks from playing but so far the longest break was a week on one occassion. I play two accounts on almost a daily basis and there’s one more account that I play occassionally. With the frequent playing on multiple accounts, this game definitely does make it into this list of my top 5 favourite games.

This is my main account that is the most played, usually twice a day.

This is my second account that I usually play once a day, almost daily.

4. Maplestory

I’ve been playing Maplestory since I was a teen which has been more than a decade. I do have a long story with this game which I wrote about back in 2015 but to cut the long story short, I was extremely addicted when I first started playing. Before this game came about, I was playing the first original The Sims and other CD-ROM games but those were totally shoved aside and forgotten after I started playing Maplestory. The addiction was so bad until my parents had to dismantle my computer to make me study. Subsequently, I did return to the game after a few months break but I wasn’t addicted anymore.

Even until now, I’m still playing Maplestory but it’s not just Maplestory anymore. In fact, I currently do play all these 5 games that’s mentioned in this post although The Sims 4, Sims Freeplay and Coin Master are played more often.

5. Super Dancer

This is another app game that I’ve been playing for a few years. I’ve played another similar dancing game before I started this but it was difficult to progress in that game, so I gave up. Although I don’t play Super Dancer as much now, occasionally I do go in for the music.

So these are my top 5 favourite games out of all the games I’ve played throughout the decade that I’ve been gaming, be it computer games or mobile app games. These top 5 games leans towards a certain category of games, simulation and role playing which are my favourite categories. I’m really not into puzzle games like Candy Crush that needs the brain to think hard about each step in order to win and needs to be played repeatedly until I can clear the level to go on to the next level. I have no patience to keep playing the same level hundreds of times just to clear it.
